Why we exist Born from lived experience. Built to support people through change. Empowered Space started with a space for people who needed one. Empowered Space was founded by Suzanne Penny, shaped in part by her own experience of navigating significant career and life transitions. During the pandemic, Suzanne found herself out of work at a time when thousands of others were facing redundancy and career uncertainty too. She created and led a voluntary redundancy community, bringing people together to share expertise, encouragement, opportunities and practical support. What started as a way of helping people navigate an incredibly difficult time became part of the inspiration for Empowered Space. It also strengthened a belief shaped over more than 25 years working across recruitment, outplacement, coaching and people development: Navigating change is better together. That belief still sits at the heart of Empowered Space today. We support organisations, leaders, teams and individuals through pivotal transitions, combining professional expertise with practical, human support.
